Overthinking

Overthinking is when we repeatedly think about the same thing over and over again, whether we are walking, sleeping, or awake. How overthinking affect our daily life.

  Here's how:

  1. INCREAED ANXIETY AND STRESS
Constantly analyzing situations or decisions leads to heightened stress level. Overthinking often creates scenarios that might not even happen, leading to unnecessary anxiety.

      2. POOR DECISION- MAKING

When you overthink, you get stuck in a cycle of "analysis paralysis". This makes it harder to make decisions, big or small, as you're always second-guessing yourself.

      3. LACK OF PRODUCTIVITY

Overthinking consumes time and energy. Instead of taking action, you spend hours replaying scenarios in your mind, which can hinder your ability to focus and complete tasks.

     4. IMPACTS ON RELATIONSHIPS

Overthinking in relationships can lead to misinterpretation of action or words, creating unnecessary conflicts or feeling of insecurity.

     5. MENTAL AND PHSYCAL EXHAUSATION

The constant mental chatter lead to emotional burnout and physical symptoms such as headache, fatigue, and disrupted sleep patterns.

    6. MISSED OPPORTUNITIES

Spending too much time thinking instead of acting often leads to missed chances. overthinking holds you back from taking risks or trying new things, impacting personal growth or success.

How to overcome overthinking
  • Practice mindfulness: Focus on the present moment.
  • Set time limits: Give yourself a specific amount of time to think about a problem.
  • Challenge negative thoughts: Replace "what ifs" with positive affirmations.
  • Engage in activities: Distract yourself with hobbies or physical exercises.
By managing overthinking, you can lead a more peaceful, productive, and balanced life.

The art of peace

To live peacefully, the first and most important thing is to have patience yourself.  Until you have patience  within yourself , you cannot find in your mind or in anything else. To live a good and healthy life, a calm mind and mental peace are essential. Nowadays, it is often observed that people lack peace of mind and are restless and because of this laziness is increasing .

The biggest enemy of peace of mind is overthinking , overthinking is a problem that we are constantly doing, and we don't even realize it. When we overthink, our mind become restless, and we start having strange thoughts, and when our mind is not peaceful, our body also cannot function properly, and we start feeling unwell.

Another thing we can blame for losing peace of mind is social media. Because on social media we are exposed to all kinds of content, and even the things we don't need to see we end up watching them. and the type of content we watch, our mind keeps reaping it over and over.

To attain a peaceful mind, we need to practice many things:

  • To have a peaceful mind ,we need to work on the spirituality aspects.
  • we need to connect with nature.
  • We should engage in physical activities.
  • Should find positivity in everything.
  • Should mediate.

clashes with parents

clashes with parents are a normal thing of our normal life and it can happen for many reasons

 GENERATIONAL GAP :

This is a major reason for clashes with parents, both express their opinions but in their on way. If we look from the parents perspective they feel that whatever they say will be right for their children but if we look at this from the children's perspective, they feel that their parents always forcing their decisions on them and they don't value our word or decisions.

SOCIAL MEDIA :

This is also a major reason parents , parents keep criticizing their children for using their phones all the time but they are also constantly uses their phones . when parents want to talk to their children they are busy with their phones and parents feel they are being ignored and they don't respect us . Similarly, children want to tell their parents something, the parents are using their phones .

POOR COMMUNICATIONS :

Our generation prefer to stay silent and give everyone the silent treatment . parents say something and want a response from their children , but they remain silent. Similarly, when children want to talk to their parents abut something they avoid the conversations by giving lightly responses, and the children feel that they never listen to us, so they stop talking to them.

AGGRESIVENESS :

When parents scold their children for anything the children become aggressive because they feel that they always being nagged, and when children don't listen, parents also get angry.

TO STOP THESE CLASHES , WHAT CAN WE DO ?

  • Both parents and children need to understand that they are not always wrong, nor they are always right in every situation or matter.
  • Both need to listen to each other's words.
  • spend time with each other.
  • Both need to understand that yelling in every situation is not necessary, conversation can be held calmly as well.
  • Should respect each other's decisions.
